European Commission to curb EU-driven deforestation

Good news from Brussels. The European Commission proposes new rules to curb EU-driven deforestation and new regulations to facilitate intra-EU waste shipments to promote a circular economy.

The Regulation sets mandatory due diligence rules for companies that want to place these commodities on the EU market to ensure that only deforestation-free and legal products are allowed on the EU market.

It's a step in the right direction to end deforestation and support palm oil alternatives, such as our Microbial oil.
