NoPalm celebrates one year anniversary
It is NoPalm Ingredients’ one year anniversary today!
Today we are celebrating an amazing year that took us from just an idea to something truly tangible. Even though we are only a year old today, it feels like we have already done so much when we reflect on our achievements so far. A few highlights:
Founding the company on June 9th 2021
Raising € 1 million in January
Setting up our own laboratory
Hiring our incredible team
Fermenting our first 5L, 10L and 100L batches
Extracting our microbial oil with our proprietary technology from the fermented biomass
Getting the DEI+ Circular Economy Grant
Winning pitch competitions in San Francisco at the #FutureFoodtech summit and in Switzerland at #Foodhack, winning the #Rabobank innovation prize and the #Fi Global Startup Innovation Challenge.
Sharing our story with a broader audience through MT/Sprout, NextGenChef, FoodHack and others
Joining the Techleap Pole Position Programma
We have had the pleasure of meeting so many interesting people with inspiring ideas at these events, full of positive energy that give us hope for a greener future. It has been a hell of a year!
We are so proud of our team and we cannot wait to see what the future holds. There are already so many exciting things planned for our second year, from our next funding round to setting up a pilot facility, we are growing fast. We are very grateful to all the people who have supported us so far in our journey to replace #palmoil and save the #rainforests. NoPalm Ingredients could not have made it this far without you. A big shout out to Kirsten Dekkers, Marja Twigt, Ruud Veloo and Catharina Caspers for making an incredible team that works tirelessly to deliver on our purpose.
Our journey so far has given us a glimpse of the difference we can make and how much one ingredient can make one huge impact. As we get bigger, stronger, better, we are only surer that we can - and that we will – achieve our mission of replacing unsustainable palm oil with our #local #circular #sustainable microbial alternative.
