Climate Coffee with Dutch Climate and Energy Minister Rob Jetten

Last Saturday, NoPalm Ingredients had a chat with Dutch minister for Climate and Energy Rob Jetten during a “climate coffee” organized by D66 Wageningen.

In our discussion with the Minister, we argued for revising laws and regulations with respect to food waste being used as feedstock in food production to promote circulatiry. Dutch laws and regulations are currently very strict when it comes to using "waste" from food production. However, using food waste as a feedstock to our yeasts that in turn make our microbial oil is perfectly safe and adds to lowering carbon emissions.

The Netherlands has a great opportunity to become a front-runner in circularity and we look forward to providing further input to Rob Jetten and his team on what change is needed.
